MustGrow Biologics Corp. (TSX-V:MGRO, OTCQB:MGROF) announced that it has received the California Department of Food Agriculture registration approval for its mustard-based biofertility product TerraSante.
This means MustGrow is now authorized to begin sales of TerraSante in California, which has a significant agricultural market valued at $59 billion two years ago.
The company said it also received organic certification from California’s Organic Input Material Program.
Securing the registration and organic certification marks an important milestone for the company in its commercialization strategy in partnership with BioAg Product Strategies.
"There has been tremendous buzz surrounding TerraSante since recent state registrations were awarded," said BioAg owner Tim Lichatowich.
"TerraSante has a lot of the characteristics in a product that producers are looking for, making it an exciting advancement for organic, sustainable, and regenerative agriculture in California."
Having also obtained registrations in Washington State and Oregon, MustGrow continues to pursue additional state-level registrations for TerraSante,
Focused on soil microbiome health, nutrient and water use efficiencies and plant yields, TerraSante complements the company’s existing biocontrol programs in pre-plant soil fumigation, postharvest food preservation, and bioherbicide, which are currently being developed in partnership with Bayer, Sumitomo Corporation, Janssen PMP, and NexusBioAg.
