Coro Energy PLC (AIM:CORO) has received approval to build a second wind farm in The Philippines.
Located in Oslob, Cebu, Coro’s second site in the region has been given the green light by the country’s energy department, the southeast Asia-focused energy firm said on Tuesday.
The new development will boast a capacity of 100 megawatts and be located next to Coro’s first wind farm.
Coro recently installed a 130-metre-tall meteorological mast in the area, which started to collect data on local wind resource estimates in January.
This mast will also serve the second project, Coro added, as further wind resource data is collected over the coming months.
