Talon Metals sees potential high-grade mineralization in Tamarack's Raptor Zone

Talon Metals Corp. (TSX:TLO, OTC:TLOFF) reported significant progress in its 2024 exploration plan, particularly within the Raptor Zone of the Tamarack nickel-copper-cobalt project in central Minnesota.

The company announced the successful interception of nickel-copper mineralization in 14 new drill holes within the Raptor Zone, marking a substantial advancement in understanding the area's extensive nickel and copper potential.

Talon said it had detected a robust electromagnetic anomaly in one hole, in addition to intersecting massive sulphide mineralization.

The anomaly suggests the potential for additional high-grade nickel-copper mineralization, according to the company.

The thickest accumulation of mineralization, up to 10 meters thick, was identified in association with a channel in the basal contact, providing a localized trap for sulphides to collect. The structure, observed in airborne magnetic data, will be further investigated to ascertain the potential for multiple channels within the Raptor Zone.

Assay results from the drill holes are pending.

These latest observations reaffirm the significant mineral potential of the Raptor Zone, according to Brian Goldner, Talon's COO and Chief Exploration Officer.

“The more we drill, the more we discover,” Goldner said in a statement.

“The nickel-copper mineralization in 14 new drill holes, coupled with the identification of a strong electromagnetic anomaly, underscores the prospectivity of the Raptor Zone. We remain committed to advancing our exploration efforts and unlocking the full value of this new zone at Tamarack."

Geophysics have played an important role in building upon prior discoveries in the Tamarack Resource Area, Brian Bengert, Talon's vice president of geophysics told shareholders.

Leveraging proven technologies, the teams can model and comprehend the Raptor Zone system, a focused approach that is pivotal, according to Bengert, in realizing the zone's complete potential and directing exploration efforts efficiently.
