Suvo Strategic Minerals Ltd (ASX:SUV) has appointed Aaron Banks as its new executive chair, effective immediately.
Instrumental role
This decision follows Banks’ instrumental role in advancing the company's innovative low-carbon concrete solutions, known as Colliecrete.
Under his leadership, Suvo signed an exclusive intellectual property agreement with Murdoch University in October 2023 aimed at developing and commercialising environmentally sustainable concrete formulations.
The agreement led to Suvo signing non-binding memorandums of understanding with PERMAcast and the Dowsing Group to explore potential collaborations using Suvo's advanced concrete technology.
These partnerships hold a wealth of promise for Suvo – both PERMAcast and the Dowsing Group are leading entities in the Western Australian concrete sector.
The appointments of Dr Martin Anda and Peter Snowsill were previously made to spearhead the IP development, underscoring the importance of having Banks guide these efforts on a fulltime basis.
Enhancing gross margin
The company is not only focusing on enhancing its gross margin through its kaolin operations but is also keen on accelerating the commercialisation of its low-carbon concrete product.
The recent successful trial pours of Colliecrete mark a preparatory phase for a larger demonstration project on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road Project, with more updates expected as trials progress.
