Baselode Energy outlines plans for dual uranium exploration programs

Baselode Energy Corp (TSX-V:FIND, OTCQB:BSENF) is embarking on an ambitious dual approach to ramp up its uranium exploration endeavors.

The company has officially initiated its inaugural drill program on the Bear uranium project while simultaneously commencing Fleet Space Technologies' cutting-edge Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) survey over ACKIO.

The Bear drill program, a significant milestone for Baselode, is geared towards targeting three distinct areas within the project. With a planned depth of 1,500 meters and six to eight drill holes, the program aims to capitalize on identified zones showing promise for structural disruption and hydrothermal fluid alteration along the uranium-rich Wollaston-Mudjatik transition zone.

The strategic selection of target areas aligns with the intersection points of NE-SW-trending layers and cross-cutting NW-SE-oriented structures, which are believed to have played a pivotal role in historical uranium discoveries, according to a statement from Baselode.

"We're excited to start this drill campaign on Bear,” CEO James Sykes told shareholders.

“Our target generation has identified areas of potential structural disruption and hydrothermal fluid alteration along the uranium-fertile Wollaston-Mudjatik transition zone.”

Furthermore, Baselode has initiated the ANT survey, a unique passive seismic method developed by Fleet Space Technologies. This survey is set to cover ACKIO and other strategically significant areas, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to generate high-resolution 3D subsurface models.

Data obtained from the ANT survey is expected to provide invaluable insights into the geological characteristics of the region, particularly the extent of ACKIO's Athabasca sandstone outlier and the underlying structural framework of the uranium mineralization system.

The ANT survey is a strategic precursor to the upcoming diamond drilling campaign on the Hook uranium project, scheduled to commence in June.

"We believe ACKIO continues at depth, including mineralization along the sandstone-basement fault zone,” Sykes added.

“We look forward to testing these targets when we begin our next ACKIO drill program in June."
