Oriole Resources chief executive moves on after big finds in Cameroon

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) longstanding chief executive Tim Livesey stepped down yesterday to focus on other business interests, the junior said in a statement.

Martin Rosser has taken over as CEO immediately though Livesey is to stay an employee until the end of May to help with the transition.

Livesey was a key figure in Oriole’s exploration in Cameroon, where it has discovered a potential new gold district.

Oirole recently signed earn-in agreements, with BCM International, at the Bibemi and Mbe projects in Cameroon.

Eileen Carr, Oriole’s chair, thanked Livesey for his contribution.

“Tim was instrumental in Oriole's move into Cameroon and the work carried out by the team, to date, has provided significant value to all stakeholders.

“He leaves the company in a robust position and with a bright future and we wish him great success with his future endeavours.

Rosser has 40 years of professional expertise in the natural resources sector, including as chief executive of AIM-listed Alexander Mining, in corporate finance and as a mining analyst.

He was also managing director of the broking company that has become VSA Capital.

Carr added: "I am also delighted to welcome Martin to his new role. I believe his experience and expertise will augment the existing management team very well.”
