4. US inflation comes in hot
The personal consumption expenditures price Index came in at 2.7% last month, increasing from February's 2.5% and higher than the 2.6% forecast.
5. Anglo American rejects BHP bid
Anglo said the £31 billion all-stock bid significantly undervalued its business, condemning the transaction as 'complex' and 'uncertain'.
