Kali Metals Ltd (ASX:KM1) managing director Graeme Sloan joins Elisha Newell in the Proactive studio to discuss a reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign that’s just commenced at the Higginsville Lithium District, 28 kilometres east of Kambalda in Western Australia.
This marks the company's inaugural drilling campaign at Higginsville, aimed at identifying and proving up its resource base in the district.
The planned 10,000-metre drilling program is intended to provide insights into the regional geology of the Spargoville tenement — the first out of eight project areas within the Higginsville District, aiming to broaden Kali’s geological understanding and to pinpoint other high-priority target areas.
Additional drilling targets have been identified within the Spargoville and Widgiemooltha project areas, pending the receipt of the necessary approvals.
With the program now underway, Kali Metals has engaged RC specialist Top Drill to carry out the 10,000-metre campaign over the coming months. The explorer has also established an operational base in Kambalda, which offers essential logistical support like office spaces, accommodation and other critical services.
According to Sloan, Kali’s move into drilling just months after its ASX debut reflects the effectiveness of the company's team.
To that end, the managing director highlighted that this initial phase of drilling is just the beginning of the company’s long-term exploration strategy at Higginsville, with more updates anticipated in the coming quarter.
