Hydrogen Future Industries PLC (AQSE:HFI) has announced a c-suite shuffle which, among other changes, sees Timothy Blake named as the company’s new chief executive.
Blake takes the reins, but will not join the board, after a successful period leading HFI’s wholly-owned operating subsidiary HFI Energy Systems, where he led its wind turbine and hydrogen electrolyser development activities.
Daniel Mailing moves to chief commercial officer, from his prior position as executive director, while Fungai Ndoro steps down from his role as non-executive director.
Professor Tom Scott, bringing expertise from the University of Bristol, a partner of the compaby via the government-backed HyDUS project, is a new addition to its advisory board to enhance the company's research capabilities in hydrogen storage.
The changes come as HFI advances its prototype wind turbine, which was successfully tested under extreme conditions in Montana, and is now undergoing enhancements for improved performance.
HFI is also conducting a feasibility study on using its technology for green hydrogen production in mining operations, aiming for cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions.
"We are delighted that Timothy Blake has agreed to lead the business as CEO having already been spearheading our system development activities since 2022,” non-executive chair Neil Ritson said in a statement.
“Timothy is principally responsible for the development of what we believe will represent a game-changing performance improvement in the wind turbine sector globally, having completely rethought the traditional turbine model.
“When you pair the performance of our turbine with that of our novel electrolyser in development, the potential for cheap hydrogen production at scale is incredibly exciting.”
He thanked the outgoing Ndoro for her contributions in listing the business on the Aquis Stock Exchange and executing numerous transactions during her tenure.
