Argentina Lithium & Energy reports positive results from Rincon West

Argentina Lithium & Energy Corp (TSX-V:LIT, OTCQX:LILIF) unveiled encouraging findings from its twelfth exploration hole at the Rincon West Project in Salta Province, Argentina.

Brine samples collected over a 165-meter interval showcased lithium concentrations ranging from 322 to 371 mg/l, the company said in a statement.

The Rincon West Project comprises three property blocks adjacent to Rio Tinto's Rincon project.

Argentina Lithium’s ongoing drilling is evaluating the Rinconcita II concession that extends from its original claims towards the Rio Tinto concessions, explained Miles Rideout, the company’s vice president of exploration.

“Our twelfth hole demonstrates a long interval of impressive lithium values in porous host lithologies,” Rideout said in a statement.

“Thus far, our drilling at Rincon West demonstrates a continuous aquifer of concentrated lithium brines over an extensive basin."

The drill hole extends eastwards from previous holes over the Rincon salt flat, with brine sampling undertaken using a 'single packer' sampling unit. Samples collected between depths of 48.5 m and 213.5 m exhibited promising lithium concentrations.
