Century Lithium Corp. (TSX-V:LCE, OTCQX:CYDVF) gave shareholders an update regarding its upcoming feasibility study for the Clayton Valley lithium project in Nevada.
The company said that the feasibility study for the project is currently undergoing review by Qualified Persons, with an announcement expected “imminently.”
The feasibility study team at Century Lithium has been engaged in revising and updating estimates for a phased production approach at the project, according to a statement from the company.
This process also involves evaluating the economic potential of surplus sodium hydroxide sales from the chlor-alkali plant.
In parallel, Century Lithium's Lithium Extraction Facility (Pilot Plant) in Amargosa Valley, Nevada, is in its third year of testing lithium-bearing claystone processing from the Project. Data collected during this phase is deemed crucial for the ongoing feasibility study.
Additionally, the company is actively working on permitting the project, focusing on gathering baseline data related to biology, hydrology, and social impacts. Baseline reports submitted by Century Lithium's consultants earlier this year have been accepted by relevant government agencies, a significant milestone in the regulatory process.
These reports will facilitate the preparation of a Plan of Operations to initiate the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process.
