Company news dominates next week with the start of the bank's quarterly reporting season and updates from Lloyds, Natwest and Barclays.
Sainsbury's, AstraZeneca, AB Foods and LSEG are also scheduled to report, so by Friday there should be a decent handle on how the UK's biggest and best see the country shaping up.
A string of US big names are also reporting, with Tesla the stand out given recent reports of slowing sales and growing Chinese competition.
Facebook owner Meta, GE, Pepsico, and the oil giants Chevron and Exxon also update.
Economic news takes a relative back seat with UK borrowing (Tuesday) and consumer confidence (Friday) the main points of interest.
