Latrobe Magnesium Ltd (ASX:LMG, OTC:LTRBF) managing director David Paterson is back with Proactive’s Elisha Newell after the company cut the ribbon on an ore commissioning milestone at its stage one demonstration plant in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley.
While Paterson says the road to ore commissioning was not without its challenges, the achievement is a catalyst for the company’s broader vision, which involves stage two and three commercial plants that will greatly ramp up production.
To that end, Latrobe has engaged investment multinational Societe Generale to manage the stage two financing process in the hopes of achieving financial close by year’s end. Big-picture, the magnesium stock hopes to enter production by the first quarter of 2026.
