Abitibi Metals Corp (CSE:AMQ, OTC:AMQFF) said it has completed its first comprehensive 3D geological model for the B26 polymetallic deposit.
The development of the 3D model follows the company's entry into an option agreement with SOQUEM Inc, a subsidiary of Investissement Québec, in November 2023, to earn 80% ownership of the B26 deposit over seven years.
The completion of the 3D model for the B26 deposit represents a significant advancement in understanding its geological composition and mineralization dynamics, Abitibi told investors.
The comprehensive model enhances the comprehension of the deposit's geological controls, instilling greater confidence in assessing its mineral potential and refining ongoing drill planning strategies.
Notably, the B26 deposit stretches across a significant footprint measuring 1.6 km by 0.8 km at depth, occupying a corridor approximately 150 meters wide.
Within the deposit, three historical zones were identified, each exhibiting distinct mineralization characteristics.
The development of the model was executed using Oasis montaj software by Abitibi's technical team, employing advanced techniques such as kriging, and validating the findings through drill results and Leapfrog software.
Other insights gleaned from the model include the distribution of individual elements, plunge orientations, and the influence of lithological and structural controls.
Moreover, the model delineates high-priority expansion targets both within and beyond the main deposit area.
