Empire Metals completes third RC drilling round at Pitfield

Empire Metals Ltd (AIM:EEE) has completed a third phase of reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Pitfield project in Western Australia.

The aim of the 40-hole programme was to test and delineate the two known zones of high-grade, bedded mineralisation.

Diamond core drilling was completed at the end of March 2024 and focused on confirming the continuation of near-surface, high-grade titanium mineralisation previously identified.

Assay results are expected in the coming weeks, said the statement.

In total, Empire has now drilled 101 RC holes for a total of 15,010m plus seven diamond core holes to make 2,024m in total.

Shaun Bunn, Empire’s managing director, said: "We continue to move at pace with development at the Pitfield Project, today announcing that our latest round of drilling has been successfully completed ahead of schedule and on budget.

“Our ambitious development plan at Pitfield, which will see delivery of a demonstration plant next year, is designed to systematically de-risk the project and prove an expedited route to commercialisation.

Empire believes Pitfield can become one of the world's largest titanium deposits.
