Usha Resources expands mineral reach with Abiwin lithium pegmatite acquisition

Usha Resources Ltd (TSX-V:USHA) has expanded its mineral exploration reach with the acquisition of the Abiwin lithium pegmatite property, extending the White Willow project's strike length to approximately 44 kilometers.

The property encompasses 38 mineral claims situated northeast of the company's flagship White Willow lithium pegmatite project in Ontario's Thunder Bay mining division.

Abiwin houses 29 pegmatite dykes and muscovite geochemistry indicative of highly fractionated signatures, according to a statement from Usha.

The Abiwin claims, geologically akin to the White Willow property, are strategically positioned along trend from the Maple Leaf pegmatite and the fractionated pegmatite corridor identified on the White Willow property. Preliminary mapping indicates a high degree of fractionation in the pegmatites, with significant rubidium concentrations observed, hinting at the presence of spodumene-subtype pegmatites.

Furthermore, the Abiwin claims host ultramafic Quetico Intrusions, presenting additional exploration opportunities for base and precious metal mineralization, alongside lithium prospects.

"The Abiwin claims are an exciting addition to our growing portfolio of critical metal assets in Ontario, and the preliminary results from the pegmatites highlight the potential for new discoveries within this rapidly expanding White Willow LCT pegmatite district,” Usha CEO Deepak Varshney said in a statement.

Pursuant to an option agreement, Usha Resources has the potential to acquire a 100% interest in the property, subject to scheduled cash payments and share issuances.

Additionally, Usha has completed the first anniversary payments for the mineral claims comprising the White Willow project, further solidifying its foothold in the region.
