ARway.ai (CSE:ARWY, OTCQB:ARWYF) said it has been signed up by Virginia's George Mason University (GMU) to deploy 10 spatial maps using its augmented reality (AR) ARway platform to help students navigate the university campus.
The roll-out of the artificial intelligence (AI) powered AR platform is part of the university's project to enhance navigation of the 817-acre campus experience for its 27,000-plus students.
ARway.ai (CSE:ARWY, OTCQB:ARWYF) said it is seeing demand "from across the globe" for university campus deployments, including deployments at Turkey's Suleyman Demirel University in Turkey and Germany's Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, completed earlier this month.
Multiple new subscriptions have also been signed with universities in Indonesia, Pakistan, Canada, Ireland and Oman, it added.
GMU's ARway deployment is scheduled to begin in early summer, the company said, allowing the university to test the platform's capabilities before a potential full campus rollout next year.
This year, the plan is for the augmented reality tour to enable students to search for and navigate to various offices and buildings.
