accesso beats profitability target as expansion continues

accesso Technology Group, the ticketing and virtual queuing group, said it had seen good early take-up of Freedom, a new product for the restaurant and retail sector.

“We have seen encouraging early demand and a growing pipeline which will expand our reach into the hospitality market,” said Steve Brown, chief executive.

Revenues in the year to the end of December 2023 rose by 7% to US$149 million driven by healthy attendance at the core business of theme park tickets and virtual queuing, which now includes the world's most popular destination in Orlando.

For the current year, accesso said sales will reach at least US$160 million and cash EBITDA margins come in it at 17%, similar to the year just ended.

Costs are also expected to stabilise after rising as the group restarted operations fully following the impact of the pandemic.

Cash profits were down 8.4% to US$23.6 million in 2023 and were US$8.8 million (US$12.4 million) at the pre-tax level.

Net cash at the year-end was US$31.4 million.

Brown added: "In 2023 we exceeded our profitability target and completed three strategic acquisitions that set the stage for accelerated future growth.

“As a result, our technology now optimises revenue for more than 1,200 leisure venues across 34 countries and a wide range of verticals

“I'm confident no competitor can match the quality and diversity of our solutions while delivering revenue and profit expansion at our scale.”
