Toubani Resources Ltd (ASX:TRE) CEO Phil Russo sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson following impressive high-grade oxide gold results from the company’s resource definition drill campaign at the Kobada Gold Project in southern Mali. The project has 2.4 million ounces of mineral resources over a 4.5-kilometre strike and features predominantly open-pittable oxide gold. Recent drilling has yielded significant near-surface, high-grade oxide intersections, including 27 metres at 1.23 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 21 metres at 2.97 g/t gold. These findings continue to support the high-grade potential of the Kobada deposit and are expected to enhance the geological model and resource estimation. With the drill campaign advancing, 91 holes have been completed, covering some 9,309 metres. These efforts are directed towards refining the mineral resource estimate, in line with the upcoming updated definitive feasibility study planned for the second quarter of 2024. Russo highlights the continuous delivery of substantial width and grade in the drilling results. The consistent results from the Kobada project drilling campaign are crucial for Toubani Resources as it prepares to solidify Kobada's position as a leading large-scale, advanced-stage oxide gold project.
