Tiziana Life Sciences Ltd (NASDAQ:TLSA) announced that it will be presenting new data about its lead clinical asset foralumab at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Neurology being held from April 13 to 18 in Denver, Colorado.
The company said the oral presentation, titled “Treatment of PIRA with Nasal Foralumab Dampens Microglial Activation and Stabilizes Clinical Progression in Non-Active Secondary Progressive MS,” will be part of the “Multiple Sclerosis: Therapeutics and Clinical Decision Making” session.
Presenting the data will be associate professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School and associate neurologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a founding member of Mass General Brigham Healthcare System, Dr Tarun Singhal.
Tiziana’s foralumab is the only fully human anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody.
It binds to the T cell receptor and dampens inflammation by modulating T cell function, thereby suppressing effector features in multiple immune cell subsets which has been demonstrated in patients with COVID and multiple sclerosis, as well as in healthy subjects.
