Sidus Space pens second deal to carry HEO payload on LizzieSats

Sidus Space Inc (NASDAQ:SIDU) has unveiled a second agreement with HEO to carry payloads on its satellites.

HEO’s non-Earth imager (NEI), HOLMES-006, will be carried on Sidus’ LizzieSat-3 during a planned launch in November under the agreement.

This follows a deal for the former’s HOLMES-004 camera to be carried on another of Sidus’ satellites via the same launch.

“We are honoured to have earned HEO’s trust and confidence in our ability to provide the platform for their NEI and data collection,” Sidus chief executive Carol Craig commented.

“Our companies work well together, and we look forward to a strong partnership to further enhance and expand the space ecosystem by offering a variety of valuable imagery and data.”

HEO’s cameras are designed to be carried as a secondary load on spacecraft to take photos of resident space objects, such as satellites in orbit.

These will be carried to mid-inclination low-Earth orbit for the first time on Sidus’ satellites.
