Avricore Health (TSX-V:AVCR, OTC:AVCRF) has announced an expansion of its HealthTab point-of-care testing system into additional Rexall Pharmacy locations across Canada.
This move strengthens the partnership between Avricore Health (TSX-V:AVCR, OTC:AVCRF) and Rexall Pharmacy Group, aimed at enhancing patient access to health testing and data for better health management.
The agreement follows the initial success of HealthTab at a Rexall Pharmacy Walk-In Clinic in Sherwood Park, Alberta, which was the first to deploy Avricore's testing solutions, including the Afinion 2 blood-chemistry analyzer and the ID Now molecular platform by Abbott Rapid Diagnostics.
“To successfully screen and manage chronic and infectious disease, healthcare systems need pharmacists to play an active role,” said Hector Bremner, chief executive of Avricore Health. “To do this well pharmacists need the best tools to have confidence in their results and the data to drive deeper insights.”
Avricore intends to deploy HealthTab to at least another 20 store locations in Alberta and Ontario.
After each deployment, the teams will collaborate to assess deployment workflow, refine processes and identify further deployment opportunities based on patient and pharmacist feedback.
