Genflow Biosciences secures new investment

Genflow Biosciences PLC (LSE:GENF, OTCQB:GENFF), which is focused on longevity and age-related diseases, has successfully raised £715,000 through a combination of placing and subscription for new stock organised by Capital Plus Partners.

Warrants have also been issued along with shares on a one-for-two basis with an exercise price of 2p. Chief executive, Dr Eric Leire, invested £50,000 of his own funds.

Leire said fundraiser received the backing from Premier Miton, run by the influential small-cap investor Gervais Williams.

The new investment will be used to prepare to fund work on a potential treatment for the liver disease NASH, which affects over 40 million people globally.

"We are delighted to have raised this additional funding, noting the participation of Premier Miton, a well-known UK institution," said CEO Leire.

"The success of this capital raise clearly reflects the growing interest among UK institutional investors in the field of longevity research.

"Interest amongst US institutional investors in the longevity sector is already well ahead of Europe, but we believe we have a unique approach to address the growing issues of age-related diseases."
