Animoca Brands Japan, a strategic subsidiary of Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd, has launched an initiative to support expansion opportunities in the large Japanese market for Web3 projects from overseas.
The first step of this initiative will see the ‘De: Centralized Cat (D:CC)' NFTs usable within the blockchain game Nine Chronicles M, which is currently played in around 150 countries, made available for purchase and trade on Coincheck NFT.
Nine Chronicles M NFTs will be available for sale on Coincheck NFT starting on April 3, 2024.
Streamlining access
Japan's unique laws, business practices, language barrier and other factors create challenges for many foreign companies and projects seeking to enter the Japanese Web3 market with the new initiative aimed at streamlining access.
Japan also has a unique entertainment culture, including anime, manga and games, which is considered to have high affinity with Web3.
This culture has demonstrated strong appeal in the country and presents attractive opportunities for overseas companies and projects.
Supports expansion of international IP
Animoca Brands Japan, established in 2021 as a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has since its inception supported the global expansion of Japanese IP and content in Web3, and now is also leveraging its capabilities to aid the expansion of international IP within the Japanese market.
As an example, in March 2024, Animoca Brands Japan assisted Blowfish Studios conduct NFT sales for the blockchain game PHANTOM GALAXIES™ on the NFT marketplace αU market.
Through the new initiative, Animoca Brands Japan affirms its commitment to serve as a bidirectional bridge between Japan and the world for the Web3 domain.
