Lindian Resources fully permitted at Kangankunde on receiving water permit

Lindian Resources Ltd (ASX:LIN, OTC:LINIF) has secured all necessary permitting for the Kangankunde Rare Earths Element Project in Malawi with the receipt of a water permit, adding to previous awards of mining, exploration, environmental and social impact assessment licences as well as an explosives permit.

The company is now completing the final work streams for a feasibility study for Kangankunde’s Stage 1 mining and processing operation, expected to be ready this quarter.

An important milestone

“We are pleased to have now received our final permit for Kangankunde,” Lindian Resources CEO Alistair Stephens said.

“This is an important milestone and we now have all necessary licences and permits in place for the construction and operation phases.

“We are close to finalising the feasibility study which will showcase Kangankunde’s considerable value, the low capex and opex nature of the project and its superior economics.

“More updates will be reported in the lead-up to the feasibility study which will confirm these metrics.”

Before the study is complete, Lindian will also provide final infill drilling assays, an indicated-category resource update, an ore reserve estimate, contract awards, operating cost estimates and the Stage 1 capital costs from engineering and construction tenders.

All of these are expected to be completed during the current quarter.
