Kootenay Silver finalizes base shelf prospectus for potential offerings

Kootenay Silver Inc (TSX-V:KTN) announced that it has obtained a receipt for a final short-form base shelf prospectus filed with securities regulators in each province and territory in Canada.

The company said that the filing will allow it to offer common shares, warrants, subscription receipts, units, debt securities and any combination of these for up to a maximum amount of C$40 million during the 25 months covered by the base shelf prospectus.

It has no immediate plans to issue any securities.

Kootenay said that it has filed the base shelf prospectus to have “greater financial flexibility going forward.”

Should the company decide to offer securities during the 25-month effective period, it said the specific terms of the offering, including the use of proceeds, would be outlined in a prospectus supplement to the final base shelf prospectus.

Kootenay Silver is an exploration company actively engaged in the discovery and development of mineral projects in the Sierra Madre Region of Mexico.
