Avalon GloboCare Corp (NASDAQ:ALBT) announced the extension of its exclusive distribution agreement with Qi Diagnostics for the KetoAir breathalyzer device and related accessories in several key regions, including North America, South America, the United Kingdom and the European Union.
Shares of the biotechnology company added 19% at US$0.36 before Thursday’s opening bell on the news.
The KetoAir breathalyzer device uses nanosensor-based technology and AI algorithms for ketogenic health management, measuring a user’s keto status and logging their diet record directly in the KetoAir app.
The app’s AI-powered nutritionist offers users personalized nutritional and exercise recommendations tailored to their health goals.
Avalon Globocare CEO David Jin highlighted that this was a first-of-its-kind offering and expressed his enthusiasm for the extension of the distribution agreement with Qi Diagnostics.
“KetoAir is the first breathalyzer on the market that uses an AI nutritionist bundled with a nanosensor-based breathalyzer for ketogenic health management,” Jin said.
He said that the company’s primary focus will be on targeting the diabetes reversal and obesity management markets.
“Given the effectiveness of the ketogenic diet as a treatment option for both diabetes and weight management, we believe there is tremendous potential in addressing these critical health concerns,” Jin said.
“With the soft launch planned for 2024 and a full-scale launch in 2025, we are excited to bring KetoAir to individuals seeking to enhance their health and wellness journey."
