Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited (LSE:SONG) shares danced 8% higher to 69p after due diligence by Shot Tower Capital found the company's portfolio to be valued at $1.948 billion, within the initial $1.8-2.06 billion range.
This represents a multiple of 16 times net cash revenue on a trailing 12-month basis after royalty and administration costs.
The Hipgnosis board said it is continuing to assess "all options" for the future of the company and will announce the conclusions of its strategic review by 26 April.
A shareholder vote on any proposals is intended at an extraordinary general meeting soon after.
