European Metals flags potential enhancements to DFS

European Metals Holdings Ltd (AIM:EMH, ASX:EMH, OTCQX:EMHLF) said consultants have flagged potential enhancements to the lithium processing component of its definitive feasibility study (DFS) of the Cinovec Project in the Czech Republic.

These enhancements could yield significant improvements in the economic and community facets of the planned mining operation. More details will be provided by the end of next month.

"Whilst it is unfortunate not to be able to provide a fully completed DFS at this stage, I am confident that the developments currently being finalised will add significantly to the project," said chairman Keith Coughlan.

"In particular, permitting and timelines are expected to be positively impacted by the team's additional work. The Cinovec Project remains an important part of the drive to improve critical materials security in the EU."

In addition to the feasibility study, which is being carried out by DRA Global, European Metals has confirmed the viability of its previously published physical and hydrometallurgical process flowsheets, ensuring high levels of lithium recovery.

The ongoing engineering test work aims to optimise the process further, focusing on maximising efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
