Mining company Tungsten West PLC (AIM:TUN, OTC:TNGWF) has disclosed that the Environment Agency has commenced the six-week public consultation period regarding a Mineral Processing Facility (MPF) permit.
The mining company is focused on restarting production at the Hemerdon tungsten and tin mine in Devon, UK.
This consultation is the final step before the Environment Agency can issue the permit. A video explaining its process has been posted by the Environment Agency.
Neil Gawthorpe, chief executive of Tungsten West, said: "The receipt and acceptance of the draft permit for the MPF has been a positive milestone for the company.
“It represents a significant step in securing the further funding required for the project, and delivering our key objective of recommencing operations at the Hemerdon mine and providing an ethical and sustainable domestic supply of critical minerals."
