Sunstone Metals Ltd (ASX:STM) managing director Malcolm Norris joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss strategic shifts within the company. Norris is transitioning to the role of executive director – exploration to concentrate on Sunstone’s exploration strategy, aiming to enhance shareholder value through focused leadership in exploration efforts centred on Ecuador. Patrick Duffy will succeed Norris as managing director from April 15, 2024. Duffy, presently a non-executive director at Sunstone has comprehensive international experience in leadership, mine development, finance and governance. His recent achievements include significant roles at Red 5 Ltd (ASX:RED), where he contributed to establishing the King of the Hills Gold Mine, and his prior senior executive positions at Xstrata and Glencore. This leadership transition is designed to bolster Sunstone’s exploration success and market valuation of its assets. Sunstone aims to leverage the distinct expertise of Norris and Duffy to drive growth, further discovery and development, enhancing shareholder wealth.
