G2 Energy Corp (CSE:GTOO, OTC:GTGEF) has announced the appointment of Andrew Male as chief financial officer, alongside Paul Gurney to the board, with immediate effect.
Male replaces Gabriel Monteiro Queiroz in the role, having gained experience across the sector, including at a TSX Venture Exchange Top 50 company.
“Male guided the company through the initial financing phases, project acquisitions, deployment of exploration programs, development financing, transitioning mining assets from greenfield to brownfield and the acquisition of adjacent producers and eventual sale to private equity,” G2 said in a statement
He also holds roles at Columbus Energy Partners, Cloudbreak Discovery PLC (LSE:CDL, OTC:CDBDF), Global UAV Technologies Ltd and is managing director of a privately held corporate finance and investment entity.
Gurney’s career in capital markets has lasted 17 years meanwhile, including through roles at Cloudbreak, Bank of Montreal (CSE:BMO)’s London branch and as boss of a US-listed small cap firm.
He will replace Malcolm Burke on G2’s board of directors.
“I look forward to working with Paul and Andrew from Cloudbreak as we go forward and build the production profile of the company,” chief executive Slawek Smulewicz said.
“I also want to personally thank the outgoing directors for their support during the development of G2 in the past years.”
