Filament Health Corp (NEO:FH, OTCQB:FLHLF) announced that since March 1, 2024, it has shipped its botanical psilocybin drug candidate PEX010 to four countries for it to be used in clinical trials at leading research institutions.
The company said that PEX010 will be studied in the United States, Canada, Belgium, and Israel for a range of mental health indications, including cannabis use disorder, depression, anxiety, and alcohol use disorder.
It has shipped PEX010 to Maryland, Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University for a clinical trial studying cannabis use disorder and the Boston, Massachusetts Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for a trial studying the treatment of pain in cancer patients.
In Canada, the University Health Network intends to kick off a Phase 2 trial for treatment-resistant depression and the University of Calgary is set to study the drug candidate for alcohol use disorder.
In Belgium, PEX010 has been supplied to Ghent University to be studied for anxiety and mood disorder and to Brugmann University Hospital where it will be examined for alcohol use disorder.
And in Israel, the Jerusalem Center for Mental Health will evaluate the drug for depression and anxiety in terminal illness.

Filament’s chief operating officer Lisa Ranken added that successfully navigating a broad range of regulatory bodies was a significant achievement for the company.
"I am particularly proud of our team's agility with the European Medicines Agency's new Clinical Trials Information System,” Ranken said.
The company highlighted that PEX010 is currently authorized for investigation in 30 clinical trials around the world targeting 13 indications.
