Gold Basin appoints new directors and finance chief

Gold Basin Resources Corporation (TSX-V:GXX) has announced several changes to its leadership team.

It welcomed Anthony Balic and Michael Povey to its board of directors, with Balic appointed as an independent director.

Balic is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a principal of Katuni Capital, a private company providing corporate finance, accounting and capital advisory services to private and public companies.

Povey is a mining engineer with more than four decades of experience working with a range of commodities in the resource sector who previously served as CEO and director of the company.

In connection with these appointments, Jonathan Lotz, John Robins and Jim Paterson have resigned as directors. Gold Basin noted that its board is now comprised of four directors of which two are independent.

"We are excited to welcome Michael Povey back to Gold Basin as a director and also welcome Anthony Balic to the company,” Gold Basin CEO Colin Smith said in a statement.

Additionally, Gold Basin announced the appointment of Mark Lotz as its CFO and corporate secretary.

Lotz is a CPA and brings 26 years of post-qualification experience in capital markets across a range of industries including Software-as-a-Service, manufacturing, mining, technology and financial services to the role.

Lotz replaces Monty Sutton as CFO and Jacqueline Collins as corporate secretary.
