Waste-to-power specialist Powerhouse Energy Group PLC (AIM:PHE) has announced its subsidiary, Engsolve, has been appointed by TrimTabs, an innovator in carbon nanotube production, to construct and install its first production train.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards the commercial-scale manufacturing of carbon nanotubes using waste plastic.
Engsolve's selection for this project was based on its proven expertise in scaling pilot operations to industrial size, a critical factor for South Wales-based TrimTabs as it aims to transition its carbon nanotube production from concept to commercial reality.
The production unit, designed to operate on a modest 15 kW of electrical energy, is capable of producing substantial quantities of nanotubes, sufficient to supply hundreds of batteries.
