MaxRets Ventures PLC (AQSE:MAX), the investment company, has confirmed the immediate departure of director Martin Walton from the company’s board.
Walton’s exit comes as he aims to focus on his other business ventures, with Luciano Maranzana set to take his place on the board as a non-executive director.
Maranzana is the chief executive officer at Eight Capital Partners, the AQSE-listed investment firm, and has worked in the industry for over three decades.
Throughout his career, the 61-year-old has invested and managed around €2 billion in assets, working previously as a member of several investment committees and for multiple European fund managers.
He has also worked as an acquisition and portfolio manager and is currently on the board of directors at Epison Capital, the London-based corporate advisory firm.
Last July, MaxRets changed its name from Greencare Capital and rejigged its investment strategy.
Formerly focused on the cannabis sector, MaxRets has since pivoted to the life sciences, fintech, impact and retail sectors.
