ATOME’s EIS status will broaden investor base, predicts SP Angel

ATOME Plc's (AIM:ATOM) granting of an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) “is positive and should broaden the company's potential investor base as it continues to develop and grow”, according to equities analysts at SP Angel.

The company, the sole international green fertiliser project development company listed on the London Stock Exchange, was granted Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) status by His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for investments made by certain qualifying shares.

Backed by the UK government, The EIS initiative aims to stimulate investments into qualifying companies by offering tax incentives to eligible investors who purchase new shares.

Furthermore, SP Angel expects operational activity at ATOME to accelerate over the next few months in Paraguay, where the FEED study on the Phase 1 Villeta project is nearing completion.

This will lead to “subsequent key valuation catalysts for investors from the EPC award, offtake contract and completion of the debt and equity financing agreements”, analysts added.

ATOME shares are currently trading at 51.50p with a £22.7 million market capitalisation.
