Foresight Solar Fund Ltd (LSE:FSFL) has announced record cash distributions for the 2023 financial year, marking a significant milestone as the fund celebrates its 10-year anniversary of listing on the London Stock Exchange.
The statistic was shared by research group Edison, which published a report on the London-listed fund this Thursday.
Cash distributions from its assets totalled £120.4 million for the 2023 financial year, aided by the strategic sale of a 50% stake in its Spanish Lorca portfolio, yielding a 21% premium over its holding value.
Foresight used the proceeds to reduce its variable rate debt by £40 million and further its share buyback program.
Looking ahead, Foresight Solar Fund has set its dividend guidance for 2024 at 8p per share, up 6% year-on-year, with a dividend cover of 1.5 times.
This represents a 33% dividend growth since its initial public offering.
Key financial indicators as of the end of 2023 include a market cap of £529 million and a net asset value (NAV) of £697.7 million, translating to an NAV per share of 118.4p.
The fund was trading at a 23.2% discount to NAV as of 12 March 2024, offering a yield of 8.3%.
