Sonoro Gold Corp (TSX-V:SGO, OTCQB:SMOFF), the junior mining company, has appointed Katharine Regan, the group’s vice president of corporate development, to the board of directors.
Regan, who is also the company’s corporate secretary, will stand for election at Sonoro’s next annual general meeting.
John Darch, chairman at Sonoro Gold, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Katharine Regan to the Board. She has been with the company for over five years and played a key role in the company’s development.
“Her expertise in corporate governance and administrative operations for publicly listed exploration companies will be a strong asset to the current board.”
Regan brings more than 25 years of experience in business development across a range of industries, having specialities in administrative management and corporate governance.
As well as working as Sonoro’s corporate secretary for around five years and as VP of corporate development since 2022, Regan has worked as an independent consultant for several small and mid-sized businesses.
The company plans to advance its Cerro Caliche project through additional drilling as it awaits the Mexican government’s federal permitting authority’s approval of its Environmental Impact Statement.
