Core consumer inflation in the US, which excludes volatile items such as food and energy, is the big announcement tomorrow.
Prices rose by 0.4% in January compared to the previous month.
That was slightly above market expectations of a 0.3% rise but also marked the sharpest increase in core consumer prices since April 2023.
Current forecasts are for February to see that figure ease back to 0.3%, which would make for an annual rate of consumer price inflation (CPI) of 3.7%... read the preview
