Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN) CEO Terry Lynch joined Proactive to announce a significant development in its ongoing drill program aimed at following up on the Wildcat high-grade PGM intersection. Hole PN-24-047, part of this strategic drilling initiative, has successfully intersected the anticipated mineralized zone approximately 40 meters to the east of the discovery hole. The company's exploration efforts also targeted an EM anomaly located approximately 225 meters further east, with hole PN-24-045.
However, this particular hole did not visually intersect significant mineralization. With PN-24-044 exhibiting a triple amount of massive chalcopyrite compared to PN-23-031A, the focus of the Wildcat drilling program has now shifted to defining the extent of the mineralized zone. The company plans to test the remaining EM anomalies in subsequent phases. To begin delineating the volume of the high-grade PGM mineralized zone, Power Nickel has planned a series of off-section drillholes on a 50-meter grid. Hole PN-24-047, designed to test the lateral continuity of the zone to the east, encountered the anticipated zone at a downhole depth of approximately 150 meters.
CEO Terry Lynch expressed optimism about the ongoing exploration, highlighting the potential extension of the high-grade PGM rich zone laterally from the initial discovery. Williamson, Power Nickel's VP Exploration, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the exciting mix of Nickel-bearing pentlandite observed in PN-24-047. The company eagerly awaits assay results to confirm the significance of these findings. With plans for closely spaced drillholes followed by more distant step-out holes, Power Nickel is poised to aggressively pursue further exploration of this promising PGM discovery at the Nisk Project.
