Kodiak Copper Corp. (TSX-V:KDK) announced that it will be leveraging VRIFY’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered mineral targeting software to enhance exploration and drilling at its MPD copper-gold porphyry project in British Columbia.
VRIFY’s AI targeting system uses deep learning and computer vision architectures to train predictive models using exploration data like drill holes, rock geochemistry and mineral occurrences.
Kodiak said exploration results from the MPD project have been analyzed by VRIFY’s AI software to predict areas with a high probability of mineralization.
Initial results have been encouraging and highlighted drill targets already identified by the company, plus new prospective areas, the company said.
The new areas identified by VRIFY will be investigated during Kodiak’s 2024 exploration program.
Kodiak CEO Claudia Tornquist said the company was thrilled by the initial results from their work with VRIFY.

Kodiak Copper is focused on its 100% owned copper porphyry projects in Canada and the USA that have been historically drilled and present known mineral discoveries with the potential to hold large-scale deposits.
