Golden Shield Resources (CSE:GSRI, OTCQB:GSRFF) is seeing promising signs of gold mineralization at the Pancake Creek target, one of several high-grade gold intercepts at the Mazoa Hill deposit.
Highlights of the company’s ongoing diamond drill program at the Guyana-based property include the discovery of a 90-meter shear zone during the drilling campaign at the Pancake Creek target.
The shear zone, identified in the second of three diamond drillholes, exhibited promising signs of gold within the FQ unit, offering potential implications for the property's mineralization prospects.
Simultaneously, the company provided assay results from the initial 100 meters of the Mazoa Hill deposit's first deep drillhole. These results revealed multiple high-grade gold intercepts across two intervals.
Drilling operations were halted at 417 meters due to excessive deviation, the company noted.
The assay results from Mazoa Hill are expected to contribute significantly to understanding the mineralization potential of the deposit, aiding in the formulation of an updated mineral resource assessment later in 2024.
Golden Shield has completed 1134 meters of diamond drilling across the Mazoa Hill deposit, covering six drillholes. Following the completion of operations at Mazoa Hill, the drilling activities shifted to Pancake and Locust Creek, where a total of five drillholes were completed.
