Metasphere Labs Inc has announced it has formally changed its name from Looking Glass Labs to reflect a broader focus on blockchain technology.
Updating on Thursday, the company said its stock ticker symbol had also changed to ‘LABZ’ on the Cboe Canada exchange as part of the move.
“The name Metasphere Labs Inc encapsulates our mission to pioneer the intersection of technology and sustainability,” chief executive Natasha Ingram commented.
“Our focus on Web3 applications is more than just an exploration of the digital frontier; it's a commitment to creating solutions that have a meaningful, positive impact on our planet.”
Using the new identity, Metasphere said it aimed to be at the forefront of innovation via Web3 applications, often dubbed as the next generation of the internet, which look to incorporate digital information into daily life.
“This name change represents not just a new chapter for our company, but a renewed promise to our community and the world at large,” Ingram added.
