Nevis Brands (CSE:NEVI) announced that it has completed the production of 6.7-ounce bottles of its cannabis beverage product Major in California.
The company said it has received a wholesale purchase order for 50% of its initial production run and that Major is already available for purchase in multiple Los Angeles, San Diego and Northern California locations.
Revenues from California will be reflected in the company’s first quarter 2024 results, it added.
"We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our initial production run of Major in California. We are even more thrilled to receive immediate initial commitments for our products in the largest cannabis market in the world,” Nevis Brands (CSE:NEVI) CEO John Kueber said in a statement.
Kueber noted that California represents a tremendous opportunity for the company to expand the Major Brand, which is already available for purchase at retail dispensaries in seven states.
“Despite the competitive market in California, the rapid onset, doseable format, and value pricing of Major make it an attractive proposition for consumers,” he said. “We are confident that we can make it one of our most successful markets.”
Meanwhile, the company said that it has received approval from the state of Missouri for its Major packaging and formation and is on track to begin production in March 2024. Its licensee will produce three flavors of Major two-ounce shots, which contain 100 milligrams of THC.
In Ohio, Nevis said it has completed the production of three Major products which will begin sales in March 2024, on top of the six products already available in the market.
