Sidus Space Inc (NASDAQ:SIDU) announced that its LizzieSat satellite is securely encapsulated within SpaceX's payload fairing in preparation for launch on the Transporter-10 Rideshare mission.
Transporter-10 is expected to launch no earlier than March 2024 from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, Sidus said.
LizzieSat’s primary mission involves the simultaneous collection of data through multiple sensors to support a range of industries such as agriculture, maritime, and oil and gas.
LizzieSat also features Sidus’ onboard FeatherEdge AI solution which supports near real-time processing of imagery and senor data to provide unique solutions to customers, Sidus highlighted.
Further, the satellite will support NASA’s Autonomous Satellite Technology for Resilient Application and Mission Helios’ optical NFT collection
Commenting on Tuesday’s milestone, CEO Carol Craig said she was grateful for the dedication and hard work of the entire Sidus Space team.
“As we prepare to embark on our mission of Bringing Space Down to Earth™ with our multi-mission LizzieSat Space Platform with a Purpose™, their passion, commitment and tireless efforts made it all possible,” she said.
Shares of Sidus traded higher on the news, adding 1.8% at US$4.50 in early trade.
