Crossword Cybersecurity launches dark web search tool Trillion HarVista

Crossword Cybersecurity PLC (AIM:CCS), the cybersecurity solutions company focused on cyber strategy and risk, has launched Trillion HarVista, a first-of-its-kind tool to allow enterprise security teams to search conversations on the dark web in a clean and sanitised environment.

Part of the Trillion Threat Intelligence suite of products and services, HarVista enables security teams to identify threats developing both from hacker discussions and shared compromised credential data from a single interface, without the risk of searches on hostile websites being linked to your organisation.

HarVista works by quietly making entire offline copies of forums and chats and storing them locally on Crossword’s secure servers.

This means any search activity will never be left behind on hostile sites.

Crossword’s collection process also removes harmful content and attachments ensuring a completely safe browsing experience for organisations wanting to proactively defend against bad actors.

Stuart Jubb, group managing director at Crossword, said: "Crossword is excited to launch Trillion HarVista, enabling enterprises to use the groundbreaking tool to protect their systems, data, and overall reputation against malicious actors, by gaining visibility of their intent safely and securely on the dark web".

The dark web refers to parts of the internet that are not indexed by traditional search engines and require specific software configurations.

It is known for its anonymity, hosting a range of both legal and illegal content, including marketplaces for drugs, weapons, stolen data, and other illicit goods and services.
