Guild Esports PLC (LSE:GILD, OTCQB:GULDF) has signed top-ranked professional Fortnite player Charyy_ to its professional roster on a 12-month contract.
Charyy_ has already established a name for himself in the highly competitive Fortnite space, having bagged a total of over $58,100 in prize winnings from 26 tournaments in the past year. The game is a shoot 'em up that has become one of the most popular platforms in the world since launch in 2017.
Charyy_ made his debut under the Guild banner last week at the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS), widely regarded as one of the most elite tournaments in the Fortnite competitive circuit, where he competed alongside fellow player PabloWingu.
Both players finished in the top ten.
As Guild continues to expand its roster with up-and-coming talent like Charyy_, the company is strategically positioning itself for long-term success at global esports events, presenting an opportunity to showcase its pipeline of professional players to new audiences on the international stage.
