Empire Metals has dropped its Gindalbie Tribute Agreement, due to expire tomorrow, to focus fully on its Pitfield project.
Managing director Shaun Bunn said: "Given the focus on the rapid advancement of Pitfield, the company considers it prudent to rationalise its exploration portfolio and has decided not to renew the Tribute Agreement covering the Gindalbie tenement which sits adjacent to our Eclipse Gold Project, near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Greatland Gold has welcomed the reserve estimate published today by Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM, TSX:NGT, ASX:NEM, ETR:NMM), its joint venture partner in the Havieron gold-copper project, which it said closely matched its figure for indicated resources.
Variances in the inferred mineral resource category largely reflect differences between the reporting criteria under JORC Australian reporting standards, which Greatland uses, and the US code under which Newmont reports.
Metals One PLC (AIM:MET1) has reiterated that its strategy remains to define a 200 million-tonne (Mt) resource in the Paltamo area of Finland and become an important supplier of critical metals to Europe.
Achieving this will involve a programme of infill and step-out drilling plus more assaying of existing cores to increase volumes and geological and grade confidence in the R1 and P5 targets.
Ariana Resources said final drilling from the 2023 programme at the Kizilcukur deposit in Turkey showed two high-grade veins that underline its potential as an ore feed to the existing Kiziltepe mine.
One intersection contained gold grading at 1.99 g/t and silver at 153 g/t over a width of 17 metres, with another returning 30 g/t gold over 1.9m.
Anglo Asian Mining said its Xarxar copper deposit in Azerbaijan contains 24.9 million tonnes of mineralisation with average grades of 0.48% copper as it published a maiden JORC-compliant resource for the deposit.
Of this, 22 million tonnes of mineralisation containing 106,000 tonnes of copper are in the Measured plus Indicated JORC categories.
