Seeing Machines boss outlines future of driving monitoring - ICYMI

Seeing Machines Ltd (AIM:SEE, OTC:SEEMF) CEO Paul McGlone spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to provide a comprehensive update on the company's performance for the first half of 2024.

The discussion covered the company's financial status, future projections, and strategic initiatives across various sectors, emphasising its position and optimism for continued growth and profitability.

SG: Can you give us an overview of Seeing Machines' financial health in the first half of 2024?

PM: We're in a strong financial position, boasting over US$22 million in cash, with receivables and inventory adding up to an additional US$31 million. This robust standing underpins our confidence in achieving future profitability and reaching breakeven without the need for external funding.

SG: What makes you optimistic about meeting the consensus revenue targets for the year?

PM: Our historical performance typically strengthens in the second half, and despite recent dips in automotive volumes, the early stages of royalty growth and external economic factors suggest a positive trend. We remain confident in our long-term growth and the significant increase in high-margin software royalties.

SG: How is the demand for semi-autonomous driving features influencing Seeing Machines' growth?

PM: The demand is climbing, driven by consumer interest and regulatory mandates. Our focus on high-margin royalty revenues, especially in the automotive sector, is poised to significantly bolster our growth and profitability, with substantial revenue expectations for FY 2026 based on secured business.

SG: Could you discuss the company's initiatives in the aftermarket sector?

PM: We recently made strides with a promising product launch at the Geotab Connect event in Las Vegas, indicating a positive reception and solid demand building in Europe. This move is part of our broader strategy to diversify and strengthen our market presence across different sectors.

SG: What's your outlook for Seeing Machines in the near future?

PM: Our trajectory is set towards exponential growth, with an anticipated increase in vehicles featuring our technology. The combination of market demand, regulatory requirements, and our strategic focus on high-margin royalties sets us on a path to not only meet but exceed our financial targets in the coming years.
